Davide Lajolo

was a writer, journalist and publishing consultant. In 1943 he
joined the resistance movement. He
was editor in chief of the communist newspaper L’Unità. He published many books,
both fiction and non-fiction, and was awarded with the prestigious Premio
Viareggio in 1977.
